My Story

When I left school, I fell into a job in an account's department and I have never looked back.

I started out in South Africa in a mining company called JCI (Johannesburg Consolidated Investments) spending 2 years learning the basics of accounts before moving to the UK. 

​

Once in the UK I qualified as a bookkeeper with the IAB, along with some other courses along the way such as AAT level 3, a diploma in small business financial management, before finally specialising in payroll with the IIP.

​

I have worked in all areas of accounts/finance/payroll in many industries over my career ranging from recruitment, care, training organisations, private medical companies to fully managing large scale payroll bureaux with clients operating in almost every sector. I have also been managing accounts for sole traders which include cleaning companies, estate agents, pubs, cleaners, builders, hairdressers, gardeners, carpenters, schools for many many years.

This can be from providing accounts annually or from the start of your journey to help you set up your company and provide full monthly account management.

Achievements/Accolades: 

- 1st person in East Sussex to achieve 2 modern apprenticeships (now thats showing my age isn't it)

- NVQ level 3 in business administration (modern apprenticeship)

- IAB advanced bookkeeping and accounts

- Diploma in small business financial management

- NVQ level 3 in accounts (modern apprenticeship)
- NVQ level 3 in customer service

- Level 5 BTEC professional diploma in payroll management (in which I won the fast track student of the year award)
